What does Alcazar run on?
Windows, for now. It installs like any other desktop app.
Does it work offline?
Yes, with fewer features. Your cases, your imported maps and your reports open without a connection. For the most out of it, with live aircraft, satellites and ships and the investigation tools, we recommend working online.
Where does my data live?
On your own computer. Your cases and everything you collect are stored locally, the investigation tools run from your machine, and nothing passes through us. Our Security page explains how.
Does it work with ATAK?
Alcazar works with the files and conventions ATAK users already know: KML, KMZ, GPX and GeoJSON in and out, the MGRS grid, military symbols, and SALUTE and SPOTREP reports. Sending straight to a TAK server is not built yet.
Do I need keys of my own?
Only for two sources. Live ships use your own AISStream key and satellite imagery your own ArcGIS key, both with a free tier and added in Settings. Everything else works as soon as it is installed.
When can I buy it?
Alcazar goes on sale next year, once everything on this site is built. Until then, join the waitlist and we will write to you the day it does.
