In short
This website does not track you. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies: its fonts, images and video are served from here. The only personal data it collects is what you choose to type into the contact form, and we use that only to reply to you.
This policy covers the website alone. The Alcazar desktop app will come with its own privacy notice when it goes on sale.
Who we are
This website is run by Alcazar Systems. We decide how the data you send us is used, which makes us its controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
For anything about your data, write to alcazarsystems@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you send the contact form:
- your name and email address
- your phone number and organisation, if you give them
- the plan you are interested in and how many people would use it
- your message, if you write one
When you visit any page: like every website, the server that hosts this one records basic technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser and the page asked for. These logs keep the site running and secure, and we do not use them to identify or profile you.
Why we use it
We use what you send through the form to answer you: to add you to the waitlist, book your demo, quote a plan or reply to your message. The legal basis is that you asked us to, as a step before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us (Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not sell your data, add you to a mailing list or use it for advertising. We will only send you news if you ask for it.
How long we keep it
We keep your request for as long as we are talking with you, and for up to two years after our last exchange, so we can pick up where we left off. If you become a customer, it becomes part of your customer record. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time. If you join the waitlist, we keep your name and email until Alcazar goes on sale, write to you to say so, and take you off the list whenever you ask. Server logs are kept for no more than 30 days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct it if it is wrong
- delete it
- stop or limit how we use it
Write to alcazarsystems@gmail.com and we will answer within one month. If you think we have mishandled your data, you can also complain to the data protection authority, in Portugal the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), or to the authority where you live.
This site is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If what we collect or how we use it changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. The version here is always the one in force.
